Meet the Behavioral Associates Administrative Team

Alethia Williams, B.A., Office Manager, Insurance Specialist, Director of Undergraduate Internships, is a highly experienced professional with over a decade of expertise in office administration, patient relations, insurance billing, and providing direct support to senior leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College and has received her Medical Billing Certification. Driven by a passion for law, she is also actively pursuing her goal of obtaining a JD degree, specializing in Medical Malpractice and Healthcare law.
At Behavioral Associates, where she has worked for approximately ten years, Alethia manages all daily front desk operations, ensures seamless patient care, processes insurance claims, coordinates appointments, onboards new administrative and clinical staff, provides mentorship to multiple undergraduate office interns each semester, and oversees the practice’s social media presence. Furthermore, she directs the IVF Service program, facilitating psychological assessments for numerous In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) clinics across the country.
In collaboration with Behavioral Associates and Hunter College, Alethia founded H.A.R.L.E.M. (Helping Adolescents Redefine Life, Education, and Mental Health), an organization dedicated to empowering the Harlem community. (https://www.helpingharlem.com/)
Alethia’s additional professional credentials include certifications from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies and HarvardX, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Brandon Bernardi, MSEd, BA, Executive Assistant, Director of Office Systems and Social Media, has been with Behavioral Associates since 2018. Currently, he facilitates the daily operations of the company, provides oriented consulting services, manages our referral network, and directs our social media efforts. In addition, Brandon has helped develop and currently manages our digital office management system which possesses features crucial to our clinical and administrative operations. Brandon currently holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from The College of Saint Rose, and has received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology, with a minor in Political Science, from Hunter College.

Annie Reiner, BA, Research Associate, started out at Behavioral Associates as an intern. Currently, she is a recruiter and administrator for the “Shining New Light on Dementia Treatment” clinical trial. Annie received her Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College where she majored in Psychology. She plans on going to graduate school to complete a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Administrative Interns

Isabella Lazzaro, Administrative Assistant Intern, is joining the Behavioral Associates team in January 2025 as an undergraduate intern. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Marist University. She is a member of the Psi Chi International Honors Society in Psychology. She also recently conducted extensive research for her Psychology Capstone project regarding the application of neuroimaging techniques into the field of psychology. Isabella is still exploring her options for graduate programs and is excited to further her career goals as an intern at Behavioral Associates.

Haley Ahr, Administrative Intern, is an undergraduate student at Marist College pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Outside of the classroom, Haley is a captain on the Marist College Softball Team, which has influenced her interest in sports psychology and sport-related mental health counseling. She is also particularly interested in research about the connection between neuroscience and mental health, as well as integrating mindfulness and various technologies into treatment. Haley enjoys working with children and adolescents, and is also interested in exploring group and family therapy techniques during her time at Behavioral Associates.

Sebastian Nusimow, Administrative Intern, joined the Behavioral Associates Administrative Team as an undergraduate intern in January 2025. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marist College. While studying, Sebastian has participated in setting up Marist University’s new EEG equipment, learning the program and aiding labs for students. Sebastian also takes great interest in the writings of Carl Jung, Irvin D. Yalom, and Viktor Frankl, inspiring him to curate his own writings with plans to continue his education by pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology.
